About Me

Hello and welcome to Scherell Art! A little bit about me; I am a pastel artist who lives in the Midwest. I have been an artist since I could hold a pencil and participated in many art classes growing up. I did not formally pursue art as a career choice when I obtained my Bachelor's degree through Boise State University, in Idaho, in 2005. Instead, I focused on Sociology and Social Work.

Since relocating to the Midwest, I am able to pursue art full time. My passion for Realism comes from the simple beauty in life. I try to create art without noise, with a plain background, and using the subject as the sole focus of my work. I recreate the beauty I see through my favorite medium of pastel but occasionally use graphite, charcoal, and some mixed media.
