Graphite & Charcoal
2025

"Graphite Rose" is an original work drawn in graphite and charcoal. A single white rose blooms at the center of a graphite-drawn bush, its petals unfurling in delicate layers of shaded ivory and soft gray. Around it, a tight bud clusters like a shy companion, it's pointed tips still closed but promising a future blossom. The artist’s meticulous pencil work captures the velvety texture of each petal, the sharp serrations of the leaves, and the thorny stems that twist protectively around the flowers.

Light seems to glow from within the rose, its luminous form standing out against the darker foliage sketched with fine, feathery strokes. The contrast between the open flower and the closed bud creates a botanical study.
